INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHANGE OF BROKER:
**For salesperson and associate broker tranfers ONLY**
If you are a broker wishing to become an associate broker or salesperson, fill out a second license application.
If you are changing the principal broker of a company, please contact the licensing department at reclicensing@wv.gov.
To transfer your salesperson/associate broker license, please follow these steps:
- The transferring licensee shall submit, in writing, to his/her current broker they are seeking a transfer from the current responsible broker.
- The current employing broker shall promptly sign and date the license with the last date of employment and email the signed license to wvrec@wv.gov and to the licensee to be uploaded with the Change of Employing Broker Form.
- The licensee and new responsible broker will complete the form (below) and upload it with the signed license as one PDF through the online application here: REC Licensing- Change of Employing Broker OR through the mail to the Commission with fees.
If you are currently inactive, include CE certificates totaling seven (7) hours of continuing education.
