The WV REC was created in 1937 with the purpose of protecting the public interest and is tasked with enforcing the WV Real Estate Licensing Act & related Legislative Rules. The Commission staff is prohibited from giving legal advice and is limited in scope to items only in the Licensing Act & Rules.​
